Correct use of ground rods

The grounding rod is very flexible during construction, and different construction methods can be adopted according to the specific conditions of the site, such as directly driving into the soil with heavy hammers, electric picks and other equipment; under complex soil conditions, the grounding rod cannot be driven in, and can be drilled after drilling. Reinstall the ground rod.

When using a heavy hammer for construction under uniform soil conditions, if only a single piece is driven, a drill bit (impact-resistant bolt) should be installed on the tip of the grounding rod, so as to avoid damage to the copper layer when the grounding rod is driven deep. In case of deep grounding, multiple grounding rods can be connected with connectors until the required length, so that the grounding rods can achieve a good electrical connection effect.

When drilling deeply into soils that are difficult or impossible to penetrate, it is necessary to use drilling tools such as electric, pneumatic and oil-driven machinery to drill through the rock.
After drilling, there are two ways to install the ground rod:
Connect the ground rod to the required length with a connector, and after drilling to a predetermined depth, backfill the resistance reducing agent and add water to the hole until the entire hole is filled with the resistance reducing agent.
Connect the ground rod to the required length with a connector, drill into the predetermined depth, reconcile the resistance reducing agent, and pour it into the hole to fully wrap the ground rod.
